A Brief History & Background
The BossMonitor project began out of a direct need for a reliable, real-time monitoring and control system tailored for my EG4 solar inverters. I live in rural Texas where we often lose internet access. So i built the BossMonitor with the capability to operate without any connection to the cloud.

BossMonitor is built on a ESP32S3 processor. The ESP32S3 comes in several configurations. I have a wifi only version as well as a wifi/RS458 version working. It communicates over your home network router to the dongles or can operate standalone without a router as well as over RS485. (single cable for all 3 devices)

The BossMonitor grew out of another project when I wanted to have remote load control of devices that are not directly connected to the gridboss. So there is additional smart-outlet function very similar to the gridboss smart port but devices can be located anywhere on your property that you have power and wifi. (first application is to control the AirConditioner in the workshop based on temperature)

This has been a year long process and I have been hesitant to release it until it was perfect but realize that feature creep and perfection can often kill a product. So here it is . I hope it can be improved and becomes a useful tool for the Solar Community.
