Call for Beta Testers: BossMonitor Closed Beta Group

Looking for Power-Users to Stress-Test my Luxpower / EG4 Management Tool

Are you running a complex, multi-inverter EG4 ecosystem and looking for online/offline control over your power routing, smart ports, and battery banks? We are seeking a select group of advanced technical users to put the BossMonitor controller through multi-season real-world validation.

Because I built BossMonitor specifically for my Flexboss21 system, I am looking for testers with serious hardware footprints and hands-on experience managing their similar systems. (EG4 / Luxpower)

Mandatory Requirements for Beta Applicants

  • The Hardware Footprint — You must actively operate an EG4 FlexBOSS or 18kPV setup (ideally dual/parallel inverter setups) paired with an EG4 GridBOSS MID.
  • Operational Mileage — A minimum of 6 months of continuous operating experience managing and monitoring this hardware under real daily household or workshop loads.
  • Technical Comfort — Comfortable with flashing custom microcontroller firmware, monitoring local serial/network logs, using Pushover for notifications, and utilizing a recovery AP if needed.
  • Desired (not required) — At least one user with a multi-pack lithium battery bank running closed-loop communications so we can test the 15-pack BMS visibility limits.
  • Nice to Have — An existing local network environment running Home Assistant, an MQTT broker, or smart outlets (Kasa/Shelly) that you want to automate directly from solar state triggers. This would help tremendously in implementing specific MQTT functionality.

What You Will Be Validating

  • Register Stability — Testing the reliability of the Quick Charge register save/restore logic across different inverter firmware versions.
  • Core Functionality — Ensuring that high-frequency live polling of smart ports, smart outlets, and MQTT messages performs reliably under sustained load.
  • Inverter Settings & Charging Parameters — Setting SOC thresholds for charging as well as time-of-day charging and Quick Charge functions.
  • GridBoss — Evaluating the latency and threshold logic when triggering GridBOSS Smart Ports based on real-time data.
  • Contributing to Future Features — Your feedback directly shapes upcoming functionality.

What You Get

  • Early, unrestricted access to the complete BossMonitor firmware suite.
  • Direct access to the developer to request custom features, automation triggers, or specific integrations tailored to your property layout.
  • A permanent, complimentary hardware and software license for the final production release of BossMonitor.
Want to take your ecosystem's automation to the absolute limit?
